Electric vehicles are rapidly diversifying in Thailand, driven by increasing consumer demand and interest. One of the key factors is the price of the vehicle, ranging from several million baht down to just under 1 million baht. However, many people still hope for more affordable electric vehicles that offer good value for money. This car, the NETA V electric vehicle, priced at just over 500,000 baht, might meet that expectation.

Powertrain
The NETA V uses an electric motor with a maximum power of 95 hp and a maximum torque of 15.3 kg-m, delivering power to the front wheels. The battery capacity is 38.5 kWh, allowing for a maximum range of 384 km (NEDC standard). 
The 0-100 km/h acceleration of the NETA V in NORMAL mode is 14.2 seconds, but in SPORT mode, it is much faster, achieving 10.8 seconds.

The Wuling Air EV Standard Range model has a capacity of 17.3 kWh, supporting a maximum electric charging power of 2.0 kW (charging the battery from 0-100% takes approximately 8 hours). It has a maximum range of 200 km.

EV Primus Co., Ltd., Thailand's first multi-brand electric vehicle distributor and the sole official distributor of VOLT CITY EV in Thailand, confirms that VOLT CITY EV cars can be registered according to the standards of the Department of Land Transport.

The VOLT CITY EV (Volt City EV) model we tested has a sub-model body name FOR-FOUR (For-Four), which is a 5-door hatchback body accommodating 4 passengers. Another option is the FOR-TWO (For-Two) model, a tiny 3-door hatchback body. The car we tested is the TOP sub-model, fully equipped with options (according to its price), including LED headlights, shimmering red reflective taillights, 13-inch alloy wheels, and 155/65 R13 tires.

The VOLT CITY EV FOR-FOUR model has a length of 3,380 mm and a height of 1,610 mm.

Powertrain
The VOLT CITY EV uses an electric motor with a maximum power of 46 hp and a maximum torque of 10.3 kg-m, driving the rear wheels. The battery capacity is 16.5 kWh (for the FOR-FOUR model). For the smaller FOR-TWO model, the electric motor has a maximum power of 40 hp and a battery capacity of 11.8 kWh.

In ECO mode, the maximum speed is only 60 km/h.
In SPORT mode, driving is more natural, reaching up to 100 km/h.

The manufacturer states that the range of the VOLT CITY EV FOR-FOUR model is 200 km in ECO mode, but if in SPORT mode, it will be reduced to only 135 km.

FOMM ONE

Starting price 481,500 Baht

Maximum range of 160 kilometers per electric charge. Due to its small size, it is suitable for city driving. It can float and move on water, with wheels designed to act like boat propellers for propelling through water.

It is a very small 3-door hatchback electric vehicle with a body length of only 2,585 mm, a width of 1,295 mm, and a height of 1,560 mm.

Powertrain
The drive motors of the FOMM ONE are Direct Drive or In-Wheel motors, meaning the motors are attached directly to the left and right front wheels to rotate them (without power transmission through an axle). They provide a combined maximum power of 13.4 hp and a torque of 280 Nm. The maximum range is 166 kilometers per charge (WLTC), with a top speed of 90 kilometers/hour.
